The following data set is summarized information obtained about states in the United States from 2007 through 2014 through the United States Census Bureau. However, this data is not available for these years; just the summarized data as of 2015. Information described in the data includes the age distributions, the education levels, employment statistics, ethnicity percents, houseold information, income, and other miscellneous statistics.
Additionally, some of the functions can return a sample of the Big Data using an extra argument. If you use this sampled Big Data, it may be much faster. When you are sure your code is correct, you can remove the argument to use the full dataset.
importstate_demographics# These may be slow!list_of_report=state_demographics.get_all_states(test=True)
Returns the report for each state from the dataset.
Optional argument to control whether ALL or SOME of the data is returned for this function. This makes it much easier to develop and test your code, only using a large (slow) amount of data when you are ready.
